Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Upon your arrival, the company guide will warmly welcome you and drive you to your hotel in Kampala. You will have a chance to enjoy a night out in Kampala. Also, you can opt for a short city tour depending on your time of arrival. Have some rest and prepare for your amazing journey.

Day 2: Transfer To Kibale National Park

Have breakfast at the lodge and thereafter, the guide will brief you fully about the safari. You will then start your drive to Kibale National Park and have numerous stopovers for some photos and experiments. You will have lunch en route and then proceed to the park where you will have an overnight stay and dinner.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking & Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have breakfast and head for a briefing about the chimp tracking activity. Chimpanzees are man’s closest cousins though they are one of the most threatened primate species. More primates like black and white Colobus monkeys, L’Hoest's monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed monkeys, bush babies and pottos can be seen here. Many bird species like the yellow-spotted nicator, rumped tinkerbird, little greenbul, green breasted pitta, the crowned eagle and black bee-eater are also found here. You can also see mammals such as elephants on this walk. Afterwards, you'll transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and relax on arrival.

Day 4: Game Drive & Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

You'll have a game drive in the northern part of the park on the Kasenyi Track in search of lions, elephants, and solitary buffaloes. This is the best time for opportunities to view the cats in action owing to the vast population of Uganda Kobs. We'll have an excellent chance to view just about every animal here at a very close range. Afterwards, we'll return to the lodge for breakfast, before heading out for a launch trip along the Kazinga Channel. This gives you the opportunity to view wildlife up close: hippos huff and spray at mere feet away from the boat and buffalos linger in the shallows. The shores of the channel are also home to an array of birds including pink backed pelicans, pied and malachite kingfishers, saddle-billed stork and many others.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You'll have breakfast and be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This journey is so interesting as you get to enjoy the scenic view of the highlands of the great Kigezi region. You'll arrive in the evening and then check into your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You'll have an early morning breakfast and afterwards proceed to the park headquarters to have a briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking in Bwindi. The rangers will then accompany you to the thick rainforest to start your search for the gentle giants. Trekkers are always advised to carry their raincoats and boots because the weather there is always unpredictable. There are also some potters who always help with the carrying of the luggage on behalf of the visitors but at a small extra cost. It’s always not easy to predict how long gorilla tracking will take and this also depends on the location of some families since some of them are far from the park headquarters. However, it always takes 2 to 7 hours to come into contact with them and the rangers will always be there to guide you. Trackers are also advisable to be physically fit before going for tracking. After your trek, go back to the lodge and have a late lunch(or opt for packed lunch).

Day 7: Transfer back to Entebbe Airport

After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Entebbe arriving in the evening. The guide will either drop you at the airport or at your hotel depending on your departure time.
