Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will meet you for a briefing before we set off for Lake Mburo National Park. We’ll drive through Uganda’s rural landscapes, stopping at the Equator in Kayabwe for a quick photo and an equator experience.

Arriving in Lake Mburo National Park, we’ll check into the lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon boat safari. The lake is home to hippos, crocodiles, and an array of water birds, offering a serene yet exciting start to your safari. A short evening game drive follows, where we’ll search for zebras, buffaloes, and elands before heading back to the lodge.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After an early morning game drive, we’ll leave Lake Mburo behind and head south towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to Uganda’s famous mountain gorillas. This scenic journey takes us through rolling green hills, tea plantations, and traditional villages, giving you a glimpse of rural Ugandan life.

We’ll have lunch en route and arrive in Bwindi by late afternoon. After check-in, take the evening to relax and prepare for your gorilla trekking adventure the next day.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After an early breakfast, we’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting our gorilla trek. Armed rangers and expert trackers will guide you through the dense forest in search of a gorilla family.

The trek can take anywhere from 1 hour to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements. Once found, you’ll spend one magical hour watching them interact—playing, feeding, and grooming one another. This is one of the most profound wildlife experiences in the world.

After the trek, we’ll return to the lodge for relaxation and a well-earned meal.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, we’ll bid farewell to Bwindi and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of banana plantations, crater lakes, and open savannahs.

We’ll arrive in time for lunch, check into the lodge, and then embark on an afternoon game drive in the Kasenyi Plains. Keep an eye out for elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and—if you’re lucky—lions or leopards.

Day 5: Safari & Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel

We’ll start the day with another game drive, focusing on wildlife missed the day before. Expect to see herds of elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes, and perhaps a pride of lions basking in the sun.

In the afternoon, we’ll take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, home to one of Africa’s highest concentrations of hippos. As we cruise, watch for Nile crocodiles, waterbirds, and wildlife gathering at the water’s edge. The experience offers stunning views and incredible photo opportunities.

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, we’ll take a final game drive before leaving for Kibale National Park, Uganda’s primate capital. The drive is scenic, passing through local villages, rolling hills, and tea plantations. We’ll have lunch en route and arrive in Kibale by evening.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Walk

We’ll start the day with a chimpanzee trek in Kibale Forest, home to 13 primate species. With expert guides, you’ll track these intelligent apes, observing their playful interactions.

After lunch, we’ll take a guided walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for its rich birdlife, primates, and community conservation efforts.

Day 8: Return to Kampala or Entebbe

After breakfast, we’ll drive back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport. If you’re not ready to leave, we can extend your trip with extra days for whitewater rafting on the Nile, relaxing at Lake Victoria, or another wildlife adventure.
