Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your journey begins in Kigali, Rwanda’s vibrant capital. After a welcome meeting with your guide, we’ll set off through the rolling hills and picturesque countryside to the Cyanika border, where you’ll cross into Uganda. Once across the border, it’s a short drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing at your lodge, soaking in the breathtaking views, and preparing for tomorrow’s gorilla trekking adventure.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Wake up early for the day’s highlight—mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi’s dense rainforest. After a short drive to the park headquarters, you’ll meet your experienced local guides for a briefing on trekking etiquette and safety. Then, venture deep into the jungle to track a habituated gorilla family.

Bwindi’s Impenetrable Forest is a true African jungle, and the trek itself is an adventure. Depending on the location of the gorillas, the hike can last between 2 and 6 hours. Once you find them, you’ll spend an extraordinary hour watching these majestic creatures interact, feed, and play in their natural habitat—a moment you’ll cherish forever.
